Configurar a placa Vodafone 3G / UMTS / GPRS
Antes de mais a placa abordada neste HOWTO é a Option GT 3G Quad e o kernel que se está a utilizar é um kernel vanilla 2.6.15.
Após inseri-la na leitor PCMCIA o seguinte log deve aparecer no /var/log/messages:

Caso no seu log não apareça:
Option 3G data card converter now attached to ttyUSB0
Option 3G data card converter now attached to ttyUSB1
Option 3G data card converter now attached to ttyUSB2
Verifique se tem carregado os módulos:
- usbserial (caso não apareça execute: modprobe usbserial)
- option (caso não apareça execute: modprobe option)
Nota: Nos kerneis abaixo de 2.6.13 era necessário incluir a seguinte linha no modprobe.conf:
options usbserial vendor=0x0af0 product=0x6300 e a seguir rmmod usbserial seguido de modprobe usbserial
A partir daqui será, unicamente, necessário configurar a ligação à Vodafone, pois a placa 3G já está configurada para o nosso kernel.
